Rochester-based jeweler Bernie Benavidez of Master Jewelers, Inc. receives awards for creativity, artistry, style and excellence in jewelry design.
New York, NY – Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, has awarded Bernie Benavidez of Rochester-based Master Jewelers, Inc., a first-place award in the 2018 CASE Awards, the association’s annual jewelry design competition. Bernie Benavidez won the “People’s Choice” CASE Award, which was determined by a popular vote on Jewelers of America’s website.
Benavidez competed among 57 jewelers in the competition. The CASE Awards recognizes the creativity, artistry, style and excellence in jewelry design from top jewelers across the nation. The “People’s Choice” award was determined by the public’s votes, which took place at JA’s website, www.jewelers.org, from March 5-9, 2018.The winning pieces were showcased at the JA New York trade show, March 11-13, 2018, in New York City.

Benavidez won the “People’s Choice” CASE Award for a 14K white gold pendant featuring a precision cut Trillion Madeira Citrine center stone accented by a .15ct princess cut diamond bail with full filigree basket setting.
